I'm making the recipe that JenJar posted a few days ago and was thinking that we haven't done a recipe post in a while. Any interest in starting them up again? How about doing one with crockpot recipes?
I haven't tried this one, but I just found it yesterday and we're going to try it soon...
Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings Ingredients4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves2 tablespoons butter2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup1 can (14.5 ounce) chicken broth1 bag frozen vegetables (I use peas, carrots and corn1 onion, finely diced1 (10 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into piecesDirectionsPlace the chicken, butter, soup, broth and onion in a slow cooker. (if needed add water to cover) Cover, and cook for 5 to 6 hours on High.About 2 hours before serving add vegetables.About 1 hour before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.
I just made this one from 5 dinners 1 hour blog (I signed up for the free week and will actually probably purchase a month).
**Now, this is the one I posted about that I cooked too long, but even with that it was good and the vegetables were amazing and neither DH or I usually care for veggies** I never even knew you could make veggies like this in the crock pot and they were seriously sooo good I will make them anytime I have extra room in the crockpot.
Slow Cooked Asian Pork Chops
Mix-
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 t ground ginger
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
2 T honey
2 cloves garlic
pepper
Pour over 5 thick boneless pork chops (I used 4 bc I bought 2 pkgs of 2 and it was plenty)
Cover with a layer of foil.
Make a "foil packet" by folding foil in half and fold up all sides. Inside place baby carrots, snow peas (I bought sugar snap peas bc I don't know what the difference is!) 3 T butter, 2 1/2 T honey, 1 pinch ground ginger, 1 T lemon juice. Place foil packet on top of layer of foil.
