Anyone naming their baby Liam on here?

DH finally came around to the name! YAY! However, he wants to use William and just call the baby Liam. If you are using the name Liam, will his name be William or just Liam?? Thanks:)

    We considered it before we knew we were having a girl and probably would have gone with it (it was that, Henry or Micah).  We would have used William and called him Liam.

    We are naming our lil man Liam.. just Liam.  I don't see it as a nickname because it's the Irish form of William.

    My friends son's name is Max Liam.  Honestly, I've never heard of Liam as a nn for William.  I love the name in and of itself!

    This is the way I feel. DH's Dad's MN is William which is his reasoning. Which means another discussion for us, lol.

    I'm not using it, but my best friend is.  His name will be just Liam...not William.  It's such a cute name!

    If this LO wasn't a girl, it was going to be just Liam. I don't think DH realizes it can be a nn for William. He just liked it.

    I am naming this LO Liam. It's a derivative of William, but we won't use it as a nickname.

    Ours is just Liam :)  It seems like a pretty popular name right now!  I had no idea!  My husband wanted to name our son William, but I wasn't a fan (only because I have a very weird relative with that name) so we compromised with Liam, which we both love.

    Me!!!!  I like that Liam is a short form of William (that's my grandfathers & many other relatives name) so it's got personal meaning for us.  I'm not crazy about how popular it is, but I love it and DH says "who cares if there are 5 more Liam's in his class!!"
