Please recommend your steam mop

If you have a steam mop, what do you have and do you like it? I'm thinking about getting the McCulloch MC-1275 or the Eureka Enviro Hard Surface. Anyone have either of these? I'm looking for any feedback on any steam mop - good or bad.

Thanks in advance!

  • Yodajo and I have the Eureka. It works well, and doesn't leave the floors wet.

  • I just got a Bissel steam mop for Christmas and LOVE it. We have dark cherry floors that I have to mop constantly....when i mopped with a regular mop before I had to immediately wipe dry with a towel or the floors looked streaky. The steam mop does leave the floors a little wet, but dries very quickly and streak free. I swear, it is saving me so much time already. My only complaint is that the cord is too short. I either need to use an extension cord or constantly keep moving outlets.

  • I had the older model Eureka and loved that thing and used it until the pads were no longer useable.  At that point they didn't make it anymore and the only thing available was the Shark.  I like the Shark, but LOVED my Eureka.  My mom has the newer Eureka and she raves about it.  She used my Shark this weekend and still thought her Eureka was way better
  • I like my Eureka. More than anything, I am amazed at how little moisture it gets on my wood floors. It dries almost instantly. I was sold after reading reviews that stated it has a longer cord than others (notsureif that's still true), it gets hotter than any other and that it has continuous steam without using a trigger, which isn't true for all mops.

I have the same problem!! Nothing like mopping the floors then getting on my hands and knees to dry them.  I just got a hoover all terrain and have only used it on my kitchen floors once, but it was so much easier on my back!
