cramps and back pain?

I have been having cramps for the past hour.  These cramps are always there....they aren't timeable or anything it is like a burning sensation across my whole lower abdomen...and now I have some back pain.  Any ideas?  They don't feel like the coming and going cramps of labor or anything...but I am uncomfortable.  Any ideas?

    I don't know for sure, but maybe a UTI?  I had the same sensation last night. I mentioned to my dr today and he asked about having trouble urinating ect..My test came back ok so no UTI, but I did notice that after I peed the cramps did seem to get a  bit better..weird?

    I never actually went into labor with ds (he was breech so planned c/s) anyhow..so I thought maybe it was just early labor..but no such luck..it went away after a few hours last night.

    I'm almost 38 weeks and have been having the same sensation since 35 weeks. My doula says I could have an irritable uterus. Lately the cramps have some crescendos, so I always hope its labor and end up being disappointed. Ho hum :(

    Keep your bladder empty and your body hydrated, thats what my doctors told me
