hi, ladies.
I've been having extreme nausea for 5 weeks, with lots of vomiting for the past 3 weeks. I've been getting weekly weight checks. I had one yesterday. I've lost 9 pounds in all, but the doc is more concerned with keeping me hydrated. somehow I've managed to stay hydrated enough. we did an ultrasound and baby is good.
now all of a sudden this morning -- no nausea. and I'm freaking out. I know I'm at the point where nausea is supposed to ease, but I thought it would taper off. is it normal to just have it vanish like this?
Re: can nausea suddenly disappear???
Mine wasn't as severe...but it disappeared over night!
I had nausea (no vomiting though) from weeks 6-9 then it suddenly went away. I called my doc and he said if you have no other symptoms don't worry about it and just enjoy feeling better.
I was down 7 lbs at the time (even without vomiting) and have gained back 4 since then... My guess is you're all good! Enjoy feeling better. Nausea is "supposed" to to away about now.
I should also mention there were a few days of transition where I didn't have nausea in the morning but did in the afternoon.
