We've stayed at the stratosphere and had HORRENDOUS service. They gave us double beds for our honeymoon even though we'd had booked a King room. We're going back this year for our 5 year anniversary. I don't want to spend a ton but I don't someone that smells as bad as the stratosphere. Any suggestions?

Re: NTR rec a Vegas hotel
Yeah - you need to get to the other side of the strip.
I always stay at MGM. Great location and its cheap (plus it has $5 blackjack tables). Other cheap hotels that are nicely located are Paris and Planet Hollywood. PH has the best buffet (Spice Market) and cute shows - all very cheap. Just stay as far away from the Strat as possible - that end of the strip sucks.
Bellagio, hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It's worth paying a bit extra for a fountain view room. We've also stayed in the Luxor...I would give that one a miss.
MIL stayed in the MGM Grand recently and loved that too.
Hotels I have stayed at and would recommend: Paris, Mirage, Venetian. The Paris would probably be the cheapest one, but check their websites for deals. You never know who might be running specials and it also depends on what days you will be there.
I live in Vegas so I know the hotels pretty well. I love Mandalay Bay, but they have the most uncomfortable beds EVER, DH and I left at 4am one night when we stayed there for a party because we were so uncomfortable. THE HOTEL- is the second tower at Mandalay Bay, it's much nicer, but its a little south on the strip for me.
Check out Aria and Cosmopoliatn- they are new casinos at City Center and they are having pretty good deals on rooms. Also The Palazzo at The Venetian is newer and it's all suites- check into that. Also Encore is the new Wynn casino- very nice!
There are a lot of deals going on here right now- you should be able to get something. Have fun!
Paris! Center of the strip, nice rooms and its beautiful. Its our fave!
