I'm thinking of doing a Dr Seuss themed party for DD#2's 2nd birthday. She LOVES The Cat and the Hat Knows a Lot about That and sings the theme song all the time, so I thought Dr Seuss would be fitting. Anyone willing to share ideas or pictures?
Thanks!
Re: Anyone do a Dr Seuss theme b-day party?
I did a Dr. Seuss Thing 1/2 party for E & G's first birthday. Nothing too over-the-top, red/white/ blue iced cupcakes, I found some Dr. Seuss stuff in the Target $ Spot for favors (pencils, pins, bags) then I made a coloring book using b/w photos I found online, and included a pack of crayons that I got for .25 each during back to school time.
I found a big Welcome poster that had Dr. Seuss on it, then I ordered images for a banner and cupcake toppers on etsy.
Amazon has some stuff - both decor and for goody bags. I ordered a Hat shaped pull-string pinata from buycostumes.com for about $15. I found party hats on Ebay for about $3 (for 16) and a couple dollars shipping.
I just had to plan ahead - I couldn't find any stores locally that carried anything (and I'm in a major city) other than that Welcome banner at Michaels with the back to school stuff (bulletin board stuff).
