Especially in the morning when they get out of bed? It must be the way that I'm sleeping - I definitely have to be propped up because of my terrible reflux.
I have moved into the guest bedroom because it has a pillow top mattress - I was thinking that our memory foam was putting too much pressure on my hips. I also sleep with a pillow between my legs. But none of that has helped - when I get out of bed in the morning my pelvis feels like it is splitting in two! Any tips for sleeping better for my hips?
Re: Anyone else's pelvis feel like it's going to break in half?
yeah. trying to do grocery shopping yesterday was brutal. I felt like an old lady with how slow i had to walk around the store. kept getting BH and some of them were alot lower and could have even been actual mild contractions. it reminded me ofthe night before I had DS. Pushing around a shopping cart at BJ having contractions.
I sleep with mu snoogle pillow, but I have also resorted to putting another pillow between my calves/feet because it helps keep my hips in line.
I feel like this almost all day, most of the time. I have not found anything that helps yet either. It is miserable to feel the pain, especially when I have stuff that needs to be done (cleaning!). Good luck, and I hope you start to feel better!
I usually feel my worst at the end of the day, after I have been at work all day and then come home to continue my duties. lol I have noticed that I am a LOT slower running errands and working around the house, and my body feels as if I'm 100 years old. DH keeps making comments about me appearing "miserable."
C'est la vie, right?
I feel the same and I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions. Mine pretty much feels like it's going to break in two right between my legs all the time, but yes, in bed it's particularly bad. When I roll over I have to keep my legs pressed together and move everything all at once. I also can barely stand on one leg to put on pants or socks.
I remember this from last time, but I feel like it started way later. I guess like the back pain and rib pain, it's starting earlier this time. Fun!
I feel you're pain! Last night I felt like baby girl was pushing against my pelvis with everything she had for a good hour and a half. I kept gasping in pain and poor DH was practically out the door without me thinking I was in labor! For sleeping I actually found that sleeping in the recliner helps me a ton! It puts the pressure off my hips and keeps me forward enough that the acid reflux doesn't bother me so much that I can't sleep. Another god send has been my heating pad. I put it super low on my back and just let the heat do it's thing...I can feel myself melting into it and relaxing after just a few minutes most nights. I would also suggest stretching. I started doing daily stretching for sciatic nerve issues, but I noticed it really helped my pelvis/hips as well. Hope this helps!
OMGoodness, I just made a post on my board last night about this! I feel like her head is jammed in my pelvis and crushing against my lower GI tract. I hurt from the time I get out of bed to the time I crawl back in. Even now it hurts. Nothing alleviates it.
I was recommended a support belt, but if you see the prices of those things- ay chihuahua! With just a few weeks left to go I don't think I can mentally justify that no matter how much pain I'm in. It really hurts.
