I plan on nursing after I have the baby. I've read to buy nursing bras for the hospital/after. Has anyone bought any yet? If so, how did you know what size to buy?

I've already bought three and wear them. Actually they measured me at Motherhood and they have extenders to add if you need them. Normally they suggest buying a cup size up because once your milk comes in you go up a size. I did the same thing with the last two pregnancies to get used to them and they were fairly accurate with the measuring and the guess work. Hope that helps
I haven't actually bought any yet (on my to-do list), but I've seen some that are sort of like sports bras, so they will probably be stretchy enough to get by until I can go get properly fitting ones once my milk comes in. I saw them at Target, but I'm sure they are sold everywhere.
I would probably buy tanks or the soft "sleep" bras to start with the first week or two. You won't really know what cup size you'll be until your milk comes in. I went up two cup sizes from my pregnant bra size (four from my pre-pregnancy size, yikes!). Plus your breasts may be kind of sore and feel better in something soft, versus something with a lot of structure. Make sure you have plenty of nursing pads to wear inside your bras or tanks. The leaking is crazy the first few weeks.
You won't know until the baby is born what size you'll need. With my first, I had some nursing bras from a friend that was the same size as me when she was pregnant. I do believe the nursing bras were a size or so larger than what I had been wearing before delivery. I would say that my chest grew for about a week or two as my milk came in. It wasn't immediate.
I would probably buy tanks or the soft "sleep" bras to start with the first week or two.
This is exactly what I did, to avoid spending a fortune on what might turn out to be the wrong bra size. The sleep bras and nursing tanks seem to have quite a bit of stretch to them, so I'm confident they'll fit even if my breasts do get significantly bigger when my milk comes in.
