So I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I'm determined to find out if it's a boy or a girl. I'm willing to threaten my gay doctor with straight porn if he isn't cooperating.

Do I look even though DH can't go? Or do I suffer and wait until November 13 where he hopefully won't get sent on a call and will be there while on duty?

What would you guys decide?

Are you sure your doc will do an ultrasound tomorrow? ?

I can't decide- I would want to look but would feel bad for DH that he wasn't there. ??

Are you getting an u/s at your appt? I didn't get one at my 16 week appt and had no opportunity to even find out if I wanted to.

16 weeks is still pretty early to find out the sex of the baby. They guessed girl for us at 17 weeks, and it was confirmed at 20 weeks.?

If they are able to tell, have them write it on a piece of paper, and you and DH can open it together.?

My DH's feelings would really be hurt if we weren't both there for the big reveal. I'd wait until DH could be there.

You could always have the sono tech write it down and place it in an envelope and open it with DH :O)

No, DH is a cop and my doctors isn't in the town he works in. The imagery place for the big U/S is in the town he works in but there is no guarantee that he can be there for that. He's coming in while on duty to that appointment but if he gets sent to a call he has to leave immediately.

I have a friend who had to go without DH, so she had the doc write the gender on a piece of paper and seal it in an envelope instead of telling her. When she got home her and DH opened the envelope together and were both surprised to see boy written on the paper. Doc even included the pic of the ultrasound pointing to the goods.

Literally peek, but don't have the tech tell you. And then when you and DH can find out together, find out then!
