What are the chances of a false pos?

I POAS yesterday and got a BFP and wanted to take another test today and got a BFN.  Both tests I used FMU so I am so confused right now...HELP!!?!?!

    chances of a false + are very slim, since the tests look for a hormone only produced by the baby.  Chances are, if you're only coming up with - tests now, you could have experienced a chemical pregnancy - basically where you have an fertilized egg that never develops into an embryo - but the time it is in your body is long enough to produce enough HCG to be detected on an HPT, even for a short amount of time.

    It happened to me earlier this month :(  Sorry :(

    To be sure, I'd get a clearblue digital and pee in the morning when you haven't gone all night.  Your hormones are supposed to be strongest then.  I read it's like, 10 times more likely to get a false negative than a false positive.  Also schedule a test with your dr. if you get those BFPs.  Good luck!

    The chances of a false positive are extremely rare.

    I had something similar happen to me earlier this month, and sadly, it ended in a chemical pregnancy. Test again tomorrow morning and if it's a BFN, that's likely the issue. I'm sorry.

    I got one of these too. I would wait til AF is due. If she hasn't showed, I would call your doc.

    Chances of a false positive are very rare... The majority of women who get a positive then get a negative often test too early and by the time they test again its negative- chemical pregnancys happen more often then you think, but because a lot of women dont test, they'll never know.

     BUT! There's always a chance that you didnt test properly with the negative...maybe you didnt keep it in your pee long enough? There's always hope, so i will keep my fingers crossed for you!!
