So I finally decided with much peer pressure that I'm going to go to my work holiday party tonight. It's at a hotel and everyone will be swimming. The thought of swimming is really nice, however I don't know what to do for a swimming suit. I didn't purchase a maternity one because I assumed I wouldn't need one in the Minnesota winter. My tankinis look really dumb because they cover half of my belly and my one piece practically shows my nipples because it's stretched so far. This just leaves the two piece option. What is your opinion on two piece swim suits on large pregnant women? Would you wear the suit or just not swim?

Re: 2 piece swim suit?
Ha ha yeah that does sound strange doesn't it? I work at a childcare center with all women and our boss purchased a package at a hotel at a discounted price so we have the option of staying the night or just coming and hanging out and going in the hot tub/pool.

Yeah, this is a hard one. If it was just you guys heading to a random pool as a family - rock the 2 piece. But a "work party" with swimming makes it weird.
How's it look on? You know your coworkers - would you feel comfortable in it?
I also remind myself that sometimes the non-preg people aren't looking so hot in their swimwear either so maybe who cares?
Swimming PG feels amazing! Personally, I would not be comfortable in a 2-piece, but that is just me. I've been wearing a maternity 1-piece and am even busting out of that at this point, LOL! I'd wear whatever you feel good in. If you put on what you have and feel self-conscious, what about wearing a t-shirt over your suit or swimming in shorts and a t or PG tank (with or without swimsuit underneath).

Well your situation isn't so strange then. I was just thinking of my previous corporate jobs where 90%of my co-workers and management were male, that would have been slightly uncomfortable to say the least.
Yeah that would be really weird and this wouldn't be a question

I've never used Tinypic before so this is my first shot and I'm not sure if it will work. For the PP who said they would need to see a pic this is the suit I was thinking about wearing (the appeal is that there are shorts bottoms and I wouldn't have to try to manuver that situation). You can tell me if it looks dumb and save me the trouble of looking dumb in front of people IRL.
AGREED... I mean if you are really marked up, I would say NO, and Target has one piece Maternity suits for pretty cheap, but there is no way I am getting in any kind of swim suit in front of people until this shape is sort of back and i don't have any stretch marks. so IDK post a pic
If you look up a few posts I did post a pic after the PP suggested it. I don't have any stretch marks yet.
