Ugh, do I need to start spraying? Warning, gross....

Evelyn is just sort of starting to swallow some of the food she eats - we mostly do BLW and she doesn't really get much at this point. If she does get any food off the big pieces she's much more likely to spit it out than gum it and swallow it. The only things I've seen evidence of in her diaper is broccoli, which she loves. Now, since I can see the food in there does that mean I need to start spraying? We started cloth with Bruce when he was older and I obviously had to spray. This I'm not sure about. It's pretty much the same consistency as it always has been it just has little bits of broccoli tops in it (gross, sorry).

  • i did when i started seeing evidence.  we've been doing a combo of blw and purees tho as she seems to like them and we're def in the PB poo now and man do i miss the EBF poo.  cuz this is GROSS!!!  but i started scrape/spraying once i saw sweet potato.

i haven't tried broccoli yet - did you just steam it?  and did you cook it softer than you would eat it yourself?

  • we just give her exactly the same thing the rest of us are eating - so it is steamed broccoli and its as soft as we like it to be. she loves it!
  • yeah I started dunking/spraying when there were chunks, mostly because they clog my stupid washing machine!

lyte, max loves broccoli too, and eats it often when we go out to dinner, so it's not prepared any differently. it's freakin messy though if I hand it to him, so when we're out i cut off the ends mostly and feed him single bites with a fork, and he's great about taking bites carefully. at home he will chomp the tops off but will also get little bits all over the place.
