So at about 8 weeks we had our first US to confirm the date. The dr. who did the US was a different dr. from my first pregnancy. He was quick and to the point. He said I measured 8 weeks. Did not tell me my due date and didn't tell me the heartbeat rate either. His office sched. me for the NT scan next week. I told hubby I do not want to go back to him. So according to the US I got pushed back a week!
Re: Unhappy with US
When I was pg with DD, my due date changed a million times. I have no idea why. Perhaps becuase I was getting NST weekly for my GD but still. It was annoying! Sorry your not happy with that Dr. I would say you have every right to request who you want next time.
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
It was just a totally different experience from the first pregnancy. Hence the reason why I won't be going back to him to have my NT done.
He isn't my reg. dr just a refferal to have an u/s done. And I don't think I am blaming him for pashing the date back.
Thanks. I never had this issue with my DS. Just bummed cause I thought I was further along. Will wait to see what they say at the NT scan.
I only had 1 u/s with my first and that was around 20 weeks. This time I had some bleeding last week, and they had me come in and do an u/s. I saw the u/s tech who does all of the u/s at my OB's office. The first thing she told me was the heartrate (what a relief), then she measured and said I measure exactly how far along I was. She checked everything else, and everything looked good.
If you are not happy with the dr, I would definitely see another one. Maybe he was rushed because they were overbooked, but I would still want my fair share of his time.
