Excited- apt scheduled with new RE

After doing some research the past few days, I called today and made an apt with a new RE in Indy for 1/31.  They have a higher success rate than my current RE, so I'm rather excited.  They said DH and I will probably need to repeat testing, so I'm hoping we can get that done asap in Feb/March and cycle again immediately thereafter.

I also called my current RE and told them instead of scheduling a WTF that I wanted my records faxed to the new place... however, I also said that if I didn't like the new place that I may call back in several months, and they said I was always welcome to do that.

I do like him. I did meet with Jarret once too, but he isn't in network at all with my insurance. While I don't have much some stuff doesn't get covered since I went to Colver.

I really like his nurses. I like him. While the all bad pregnancy saga was going on he was very down about it, but in the end he was right and it was better to not have my hopes too high. He serioulsy was so sad when we found out the baby had stopped growing. I think he will be able to help us find an answer. Let me know if you have any questions, maybe I can help. We live very close by too.

Thanks for the info.  I'm so sorry about about your losses.  I hope you are able to get your much-deserved sticky BFP very soon.  We actually bought a house in Plainfield south of the airport, so Carmel isn't exactly close, but I figured it was worth the drive.  I will miss the fact that my current RE is 5 minutes from my current work.

  • Best of luck to you illnigal! I hope this new RE has the right plan for you. If you don't mind me asking, how many SAs has YH had to do? We are making the transition to an RE in January, and I am sure they'll order another SA. He hasn't had one since July.

  • That's quite the hike up to Carmel! I used to drive that all the time for work. I do very much like that all u/s and blood work have appts. Not first come first serve, so at least you will have a time and can be there. Traffic first thing is a killer on 31 and also at 4:30.

Have you been there at all? It's a bit tricky to get there at first since you have to go way past and turn and go back. It's a huge building, you can't miss it.

I think it will be worth it though. Our first RE was a bit of a drive, so I do like how close they are now. We used to go super freaking early to be first there so we could make it to work on time.

I am sure your new RE will have another SA done. We should have long before we switched. DH was just getting worse for some reason. We did our 6th and last IUI with the new RE and we found out it was just dismal. He didn't make us get one since we were already doing IUI, but my hopes wouldn't of been so high. DH needed that last IUI to see we needed to go to IVF.

The RE did make him have another before IVF. Our IUI was Feb and IVF was Aug.
