Honestly? Neither. Logan is ALL boy to me, period. And by the way you have it paired with Marylin it leads me think you're considering this for a girl, and it's no bueno to me. Bailey is an alcoholic beverage and a common dog's name so it's definitely not something I would ever name my daughter.

FWIW, my name is Rheana, so I get wanting an unusual name. That doesn't mean I'd saddle my girl with a boy's name or a dog's name. Bailey was the 85th most popular name chosen in 2009, so it isn't different. I chose pretty unusual but still completely legit and gender-appropriate names for my kiddos. Your husband's choice for a boy's name is excellent.

My thoughts exactly
Logan is a boy's name. Bailey is my aunt's dog's name.

I like Bailey Lynne or Bailey Marylin. I agree that Logan is a boys name. I have heard of Bailey as a dogs name but know more people with the name. Even if it is popular as a dogs name now, that doesn't mean it will be in 5,10, or 15 years. I wouldn't let that stop you if you like the name. My name became popular as a dogs name when I was in Jr. high (perfect timing, right?) but it never really bothered me and that fad has since passed.
it would be pronounced marilyn, But my hubby's mom spelt it marylin, She passed away a few years ago so it's something we would deff want to include.
He wants to do Logan patrick if its a boy though
and Bailey I think is just so different for a child's name.
My name is Rayna, so I deff don't want a name like Jessica or Ashley. I like unique names!
But thanks ladies!
Logan Patrick is an awesome boys name. Too bad Logan and Ryan have the same ending because it would be kind of cool to incorporate part of your name in the middle.
Since Marylin is a family spelling, I think you're smart to keep it in the middle spot.
Other people have pointed out that Bailey is pretty common. If you go to the Social Security Names websites and check out the top 1000 for girl names (you'll have to weed through the misspelled ones), you'll find the lesser used names outside the 200 mark. I like the 500s + myself for uncommon names.
Unique names are great, but, unfortunately, Bailey has become very popular. I'm a school teacher and I have a lot of them, plus a little cousin named Bailey. I would also recommend using Logan for a boy. But out of the two, I think Bailey Lynne is good. I like the spelling of Lynne (that's my middle name and spelling as well). It's "normal" but still not the predominate spelling.
Re: logan marylin or bailey lynne
Logan is fine, for a boy. Marylin? Is that pronounced like Marilyn, or Mary Lynn? Bailey is too trendy/cutesy and also is more of a pet name IMO.

Agreed.
I don't like either, sorry. Logan is so boyish for a girl and Bailey sounds more appropriate for a puppy than a baby (boy or girl).
Since you seem to like traditionally boy names, what about: Sydney, Piper, Finley, Harper, Reese, Quinn
i dont know, I think Logan can go either or! haha

we'll see! I'm sure I'm going to change the name 110 times anyway! haha
Thanks!
I like Bailey. Not a fan of the other name for a girl, but thats MHO.
I know someone with a little girl named Bayleigh. Its very cute I think.

This.
This isn't to flame you, I just wanted to reiterate what other posters are saying about Bailey.

It's just super popular as a dog name, and I wouldn't want to chance it. Logan is NMS, but I've heard of it as both girl and boy names. Good luck!
Logan - an excellent boys name
Marylin - a butchered spelling of Marilyn
Bailey - 90s, overused dog/alcohol name, but at least it indicates gender
Lynne - a butchered spelling of Lynne
Unless the cre8ive spellings are family names, I'd ditch them.
Bailey Lynn or Marilyn Anne
