Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Wow- how do mommies of twins do it?!?! PIPs

I just baby sat my nephew who recently turned 1.  I only had him for 2 hours but I'm exhausted!  He's crawling, mine's sitting, rolling, standing.  Whew- everyone's still in one piece and my house is a disaster zone.  I give ladies of twins or 2u2 a lot of credit!  Here's some pics of how it went:

Yay, my buddy/cousin Tristan is here!

I know I don't use paci's anymore, but your's looks deeeelicious

After that they were both in different directions- oh and apparently our Leap Frog activity table also doubles as a push toy ;-)

  • I try not to think about how crazy it's going to be when they're both crawling...right now, they're just starting the up-on-the-knees rocking thing.  Yikes!
  • There is a lot of hair pulling and paci stealing around here.

But, since these are my first I don't know any better.

  • Those pictures are really cute :) LO looks adorable with the paci! Like "See? It's mine now. Kthnx."

To give yourself credit, it'd be much different if you were pregnant, had to used to the idea of having 2u2 and then building a schedule (ish) with those two. Instead, you were just thrown into the practice!

  • They are my first (and only) so I really don't know any better as Robin said.  I do admit to being a bit jealous sometimes of the singleton moms who park next to me as I struggle to get mine out of the car.

This exactly.  It's been a LOT harder since they both started crawling, and now that M's favorite thing to do is crawl on top of her brother and pull on his hair/shirt/pants.  I am constantly pulling her off of him.  But, it's really fun at the same time.

  • Its hard work, but I know no better!
  • Honestly, I can. not. imagine the first few months, but now that DS is on a pretty good schedule and sleeping better, I know he'd love to have another LO to play with all the time.  You ladies are amazing :-)

  • HA! It is not so bad. There is A LOT of toy/paci stealing lately though Smile. My twin sister has a 3 month old and you should see when the 3 of them get together. Yikes...
  • Yes to what all of the pp's said!  I am scared of when they can go in opposite directions, too :)  But, my dh and I always say we are SO lucky we don't know any different.  And they are just starting to really enjoy each other's company...they giggle and talk and eat each other's feet.  That is fun :)
