3rd Trimester

The trouble with sleep....

.....is that I'm not doing it right, apparently.

I was so exhausted yesterday after going back to work, that I went to bed at 9pm. That's really early for me, considering I'm a night owl. My FI stayed up playing his Xbox, which normally would keep me from sleeping, simply because I have a hard time falling asleep if he's not in bed with me. Last night, though, I passed right out, and slept like a baby...until 2am, when I woke up for no reason at all (something that has been happening to me a lot the last few weeks).

Couldn't go back to sleep until around 4:30am, and then had to get back up at 6am. SO not fun. I think I may give my dr. a call later today to see if this is normal, since I've never had any sleep problems up until a few weeks ago, and I can't pinpoint any single reason why I'd be waking up out of the blue like that.

I miss my bed.......

Re: The trouble with sleep....

  • I'm going with normal... the closer to the end the less sleep I can get. Doesn't help that this little girl is very active, but once I'm awake my mind won't shut off again. I'm pretty sure your dr will say normal, but maybe he will be able to give you some advice on how to get a better sleep.

  • Ugh... i know it sucks!  I have the same problem.  I'm wiped out by 8 or 9 pm but i wake up in the middle of the night and i can't fall back to sleep.  Which means i get a total of mabe 4 hours a night...  and there is no time during the day to nap.  I can't believe i haven't keeled over from exhaustion yet.

    Good luck!
