What gift?

With all the talk of bad gifts, what is the one gift (baby shower, birthday, Christmas, Chanukkah, etc.) have your LO received that you or they just love and could not live without and you thought that you would not like it or it would not be necessary?

Michael received a sheep skin from my BIL.  A very soft, thick sheep skin.  He loves it.  When he saw it the first time, he just laughed.  He rolls on it, picks up the edge and feels the underside, plays with his toys on it.  I would have never thought that it would be such a hit.

    Caroline has these sensory balls that we got as a gift and she absolutely loves them. When she wakes up in the morning yelling, "bah! bah!", they are what she is yelling for. I don't know what the attraction is but she generally has one in her hand (sometimes one in each hand) and she wanders around the house.

    Aaron LOVES the MIckey Mouse Clubhouse bath toys that DH and I got him (for $10!) for Hanukkah.  So glad we got these.  They're sold out now and impossible to find?I was looking for a backup set. He carries the figurines around with him and plays with them in the tub. 

    He also likes the Dance Star Mickey that my SIL got for him.  He was scared of it at first, but now he'll push the foot and make him dance all around our living room.

    Mickey is king.  Hot dog!

    For some odd reason, N has fallen in love with his Seahorse again.  Like seriously IN LOVE.  He will not leave the house without it and carries it with him all.day.long.  Sleeps with it, eats with it, plays with it, watches tv with it....I could go on and on.  Even though I haven't introduced any toys to the twins yet, I'm thinking he's hoarding it so they won't get it!  LOL

    DH's cousin and his family gave us a little "My Blankie" from BRU when DD was born.  It was pink and had two kinds of furry sides with satin trim.  seemed kind of cheap (it is, BTW) and so thought DD would vastly prefer her other lovies.  Nope.  She was hooked on that one so much I went and bought 3 more and those are the official blankies for her.  DS got hooked on the blue ones and has four of his own too.

    A Vtech hand me down from a friend - dancing zoo animals. It's ugly and bleh and she loves it!  And of course, DH and I can now sing all the "songs" to her - "I'm a big and tall giraffe..." I guess I really should have trusted that she wouldn't have given me something that her LO hadn't liked.

    A Bundle Me. I friend gave me a hand me down and I didn't think we would use it but we put it in Matt's stroller and it was a great way to make sure he was warm and he loved it.

    That sheepskin sounds nice! We have a beaver fur that Gracie loves to lay on! She really loves her little fire station playhouse!
