Ok, I apologize if this is a stupid question but curious... Is it possible to ovulate multiple times without getting a period after each ovulation? I have a very irregular cycle (and very long ones)- my cycles are usually anywhere from 60-130+ days. I haven't had AF since Sept, but I had a opk + in Oct, Nov, and I just got another one a couple days ago. I thought the opks in Oct and Nov were just faulty tests (something wrong with the kits) since I never got AF but now I'm seeing a pattern. I just started temping last week, and it kind of looks like I actually did o recently. I have an ob/gyn appt in a week so I'll ask my dr. then, but wondering if anyone else had insight. I had blood tests done in Aug to see if there were any "issues" with why I wasn't getting my period every month, but all tests were negative. TIA!

Re: Is it possible to ovulate multiple times within a cycle?
From what I understand, you only ovulate once each cycle. In the case of fraternal twins, two eggs can be released- not necessarily simultaneously, but not very far apart.
With PCOS, I believe you could gear up to ovulate several times in a cycle, but you will ovulate just once, unless it is annovulatory. GL!

I think it is more likely you are getting false LH surges than multiple ovulations. I'll be interested to see what your doctor says, keep us updated!
Good luck!

Actually, when I had one of my early u/s my RE said it looked like I had o'd twice that cycle.

Don't know if I really did, but I trust her judgment.
