We have a bertini stroller for Emma but will likely need a double stroller for when the next LO comes along. DH, ugh, says we can just carry either one and not worry with getting a double stroller. Nice but not always practical.
I wore Emma for the first few months and didn't really use the stroller we have till she was a bit older. I know once this baby gets a bit older we will need the double stroller.
I have seen the tandem ones and I like the design of them where you can switch the position of the seats to face you, face out, face each other, still put in the carseat with it, etc. I think it would suit our needs.
My question is, how does it collapse and store? When you put it in your vehicle do you have to take the seats out and stack them separate in order to collapse the frame and store it in the car? Do you like this design or have you found that you'd go with a completely different model because of it?
The one I'm looking at is this:
What are your thoughts?
Re: Does anyone have a double stroller or know which one they are going to get?
I'm probably not much help since we're going with a side-by-side but we're leaning toward the Baby Jogger City Mini Double. Our runner up is a BOB duallie. I mostly use my stroller to go walking with friends so I want something that would be good for that.
I really worried that DS was too young to use a sit and stand and control his impulses for manuevering (sp?) out of it.

To answer your question, I think it all depends on your stroller needs. Do you want to save money or buy an expensive one? Do you need a jogging stroller, or would an umbrella stroller suit your needs?
Personally, in the beginning our tentative plan is that I will wear LO #2 and put DS in the stroller or shopping cart if we're running errands. We'll invest in a jeep double umbrella stroller. I figure although we are out and about a lot, it's usually trips to the zoo/museum (we have yearly passes) or walks around our neighborhood. It's not like we're off roading with our strollers and when we go hiking we'll carry the kids in carriers while they're still small.
Even though the umbrella strollers are short on space, we can just throw the diaper bag over the handles and get an attachment for more storage space if need be. I think a full sized double stroller isn't worth the big price tag unless you're going to be using it a ton, but I may be singing another tune when I have 2 kids here. We may end up biting the bullet and getting a full sized double stroller, but we're going to wait and see after DD gets here if we actually need it or not.
I'll be wearing DS when he's born for the first few weeks if we ever go out, but we are planning on purchasing the Baby Jogger City Mini stroller!
