Another family pg announcement...ugh!

So DH's brother and his wife are pg and we found this out about 2 months ago.  That was tough.  Now DH's cousin and his wife are pg.  She is only 6 weeks pg!!!  She already announced it on FB!  I guess the IF and pessimist in me says that it's kind of early to be announcing it on FB.  Since she is only 6 weeks and didn't have IF, I highly doubt she's even had an u/s yet.  Don't you think 6 weeks is a little soon to be announcing your pg on FB???

    I absolutely do! I think it is too early to announce it anywhere (except on IF, of course).

    The only people I would even THINK of telling that early are my parents.  I can't imagine telling the whole world, but maybe IF just makes you think about things differently.  ((hugs))

    I'm so sorry you are going through that.  (Hugs) My SIL did the exact same thing.  And then again at her sons 1st b day party.  She was only 6 weeks as well.  Yes I think it is waaaayyyy tooo early. I say keep it small on the anouncing of anything until 2nd tri.  DH say only tell the people you feel like untelling if God forbid something goes wrong.

    I'm sorry, and I feel your pain.  My brother's wife and DH's sister (so both my SIL's) are pregnant.  No matter which side we visit, there it is, staring me in the face.  It sucks.

    Married '02, TTC May '05

    Dx -Ute cancer, DOR from cancer treatments, and embryo quality issues. NOV 2010 CANCER FREE
    2005-2011= 3 Rounds of Clomid, 5 IUI's, 3 IVF's- ALL BFN's
    After 7yrs TTC, 5yrs of ute cancer, and 11 failed IF treatments, we got a surprise BFP! So thankful!

    My SIL told family at 5 weeks or so, but didn't make a general announcement until 12 weeks.  I thought that was fine, but I'm also nosey :-P.

     

    6 weeks on FB seems a little soon.
