New Years plans?

Anyone doing anything for New Years? If so, how far are you?

We're attempting a party, obviously no drinking for me and I'll be the driver to get us home safely, but I am going to try to make it to midnight! I will be almost 34 weeks along on New Years.

    For me, I'm sure we'll have to listen to our neighbors party till the early morning again. They are so inconsiderate of everyone else that lives around them. They've been popping fireworks nightly since Christmas, it's getting really old and it wakes up Emma. We haven't said anything to them, we'll just endure it till New Year's. But if it continues past New Year's then we'll ask them to knock it off.

    We aren't going anywhere. I'm such a homebody and don't really want to go anywhere. DH has been after me to go to a movie but I don't have anyone babysit Emma, I'm worried to leave her with someone so we just rent movies. We'll probably turn in at 9 or so.

    We're going to a local restaurant with my in-laws...doc confirmed yesterday that he doesn't think I will have a NY baby nor will he or she come before my due date:(  Won't be anything exciting.

    We are staying home together to enjoy our last New Years as a family of two.

     

    There are plenty of places we could go, but we decided we wanted it to be just us.

    My DH thought having people over was a good idea, so I wouldn't have to celebrate alone.  Kinda thoughtful, but more annoying than anything.  I of course have to clean and make appetizers and clean up the next day.....I am going to make him clean the basement after math.  We are supposed to get bad weather so we will see.

    That sounds like famous last words to me. Both times before I went into labor my OB said..."Nope, all closed up. You're fine. See you next week." after internals. I went into labor the next day.

    I normally host a little party, but this year I wanted something low key. We are heading to VA Beach to go to our friends' house in a few hours. We just plan to hang out with the kids, relax, and eat delicious food!

    Our friends are throwing a little get together,  board games and stuff...We will make an appearance, play a game or two and then go home watch movies and cuddle.  If they didn't live 5 mins away we wouldn't be going.

    We are also going to a New Years party that our friends are hosting. I imagine that we'll stay until after midnight, we usually stay up that late anyway so it shouldn't be too shocking. If I want to go home we'll go home though and it won't be a big deal. I don't really care that much about New Year's.

    We're going to the 3rd Annual Pajama-jama-jam at one of our friends houses.  We'll watch football and movies and fall asleep shortly after midnight, all while wearing our PJs. :)

    Baby Boy Born 3.15.11. 8lb 9oz, 21.75in. 6 month stats: 20lb 11oz (92%tile), 30.12in.(100%tile - who knew it went over 99th? Which means 100% of other 6 month olds are shorter than mine!)

    Going to dinner then going home.  Chances are DH and I both will be asleep before midnight!

    We're traveling less than 10 minutes away and will probably make it til midnight but not much after.  I'm huge and 38 weeks, so I'm not too interested in partying hearty.

    New Years eve we are going out to dinner and to a casino..and then new years night FI decided it would be GREAT to get the UFC event and have ooohhh 20 of his closest friends over....grrreeeaattt it doesn't even start until 10 pm.

    My mom's birthday is New Years Day so I'll be bringing in her birthday. FI will probably go to a party at his brother's.

    We are heading to a friends house for dinner and to ring in the new year, I am going to have to put my game face on and hide the pain.  I don't think we will be staying past 12am though.  I would fall asleep if I was sitting at home so it was my decision to go out.
