Hello! I'm new to the boards, my husband and I just decided to start trying in the next couple of months. I am wondering, who do I go to to get prenatal vitamins? Should I see my OB, my normal doctor, or can I get some over the counter?
Also, any suggestions on types/brands of prenatal vitamins would be appreciated! Thank you!!
Re: Prenatal Vitamin Question
You don't need a prescription for prenatals. I use, I think it's called, Pro Lifetime Prenatals... The brandname is definitely Lifetime.
Good luck!

My doc gave me a prescription before starting to TTC, because I have really bad nausea with all OTC vitamins. The prenatal I take doesn't have DHA though, so I pick that up at GNC, it's super cheap there!
I have always taken my vitamin right before bed to help deal with stomach aches, I take the DHA with breakfast because I read that it (too) can inhibit folic acid absorbtion.
