thin lining on follistim?

So my CD8 RE apt this morning was good and bad. I had 4 follies 10 and up with the largest at 18.5 and I was expecting to trigger. However my lining was crap. Only at a 6.2! She said "Well, you officially have a lining issue" great. What does that mean? She put me on estradiol and I am supposed to take them vaginally for the next couple days and go back Friday. Guess what i did? took it orally! OMG im so dumb! When I got home I had a huge headache and DH said "did you take your medicine?" I opened up some Tylenol then the rx and it was just this little blue pill and before I realized it I had swallowed it down! What an idiot!

anyway i have been searching this site and havent found much of anything with posts about thin linking on follistim. anyone else been through this?

I haven't seen issues with thin lining and follitism, just wanted to warn you, in case you haven't done the estradiol pills vaginally before. Wear a liner, pad or something like that. Holy blue mess, Batman!

I hope the estradiol does the trick!

I have a thin lining on follistim.

But I officially have a lining issue. I have only once in my life had my lining at its highest at 8.2, but normally I am fighting for a high 6 (which is really good for me).

I would just start taking your pills vaginally and you can also drink POM juice which is supposed to help with your lining.

I bet the estradiol will do the trick. good luck!

I have been drinking a ton of POM and raspberry leaf tea but now I am wondering if it is too late.

I had thin lining on clomid, but no issues on follistim. I hope the estradiol does the trick for you!

Just wanted to wish you luck increasing your lining! Also for the record, I've taken the very same type of blue pill vaginally and orally, so hopefully your first dose will still do something.

I was going to say what sulfababy said...when I started taking progesterone vaginally, I was told to switch my blue pill and take it orally, so I think you can take it either way. My lining is rarely over a 6 and although they said it was on the thinner side, my RE was never concerned about it. Is it triple-striped or tri-linear? That was always stressed in stead of the thickness for me. I also take estradiol valerate to help with the estrogen/lining. GL getting your thicker lining!!

I am in the same boat as you! I am responding e.x.t.r.e.m.e.l.y. slow to Follistim. My dose has been increase 3 times and I am now on 150iu. My last monitoring appointment showed a single 12:8 follicle and a lining of 2.4 Sad They doubled my dose again (I had been on 75 before that...) and I go again tomorrow. Today will be my 20th day of injecting. I am tired and have a bruised belly!

I hope the estradiol works for you. Keep me updated, I might bring this up to my RE!

the estradiol doesn't really help me, but then again nothing really seems to do the trick for me But I am a rare case! so I don't want to worry you. I really think it will work for you.

oh and just like the other posts, I have taken them both orally and vaginally so you should be okay!
