Have you started interviewing nannies, babysitters, daycares or nurseries yet?

I think I will need help for a month in between my Mother leaving and my school year ending. DH is in the middle of his job change, once his TS clearance goes through, and whereas his schedule will be helpful- 4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off 7pm-7am and consistent once the schedule is in place, we do not know when it will be starting. I think I will probably need someone a few hours in early evening a couple of nights a week. 

Do you have a list of questions/requirements for nannies? Advice appreciated!

    I have not started yet.  I have a daycare in mind, it's right across the street from my office.  I've gotten on line and searched the state database and reviewed their inspections, and they don't have any major violations. It's all paperwork related.  I know I need to get on the ball, but I guess I keep putting it off because I really don't want to go back to work.  I know it needs to be done and soon!!!!

    I haven't checked either,, there is a home daycare in our neighborhood that my other neighbor told me about,, she's got a room for babies only, then with the kids, they have homework time and stuff.. I think it's about $150 a week.. but will have to have my neighbor introduce me to her and ask her some questions. The person has teens who also work for her, which to be honest, that's awesome but I wouldn't want anything to happen to my son like being touched in a weird way. I am sorry for having that thought and I don't believe that would ever happen but nowadays, who knows. Not going to stress about that,, will ask different questions like: qualifications, times available, pay even if I don't need to leave him there.. I would only need M-W but 4-11pm.. hope she can accomodate that,, if not, then I'll ask my friend... Dave will watch him on the weekends. This wouldn't happen until mid summer,, the other bummer thing is that Dave may only have him on the weekends since he could still be working in Pleasonton, CA.. but will figure it out as it gets closer.

    DH will probably be staying with the baby when I go back to work.  BUT, if he gets a job before then (he is getting his doctorate right now), we are going to ask my MIL to come live with us for that 5 weeks that I'll be back at work.  If she says no, guess we'll have to go from there...

    Luckily my mom is able to quit her job for our daycare.  We are paying her 20 a day and on the days I have off--I am a teacher--we would not pay her.
