3rd Trimester

Anyone else +30 week have an extremely active baby?

My son was active and moving but nothing like this little girl. She doesn't want to flip to head down yet and she seems busy all day long. And really enjoys kicking mommy in the ribs and pushing out on my sides.

It's great to feel my baby, but when I was sick the health nurse asked if the baby seemed frantic and she's always so busy I don't know if I would even be able to tell. Just makes me wonder if theres anything as too much movement or energy in there... or if she's just going to be a busy one?

Anyone else have an extremely active baby.

  • Mine has been.  Like you, I thought my first was VERY active, but he was nothing compared to this one.  At about 36 weeks, his HR was still up around 160 which the doc said was fine, but definitely meant he was an active little guy.

  • OMG this baby is crazy active, which is something b/c I thought that DS was active!  I'm a little scared!  :)  I'm surprised I even notice it too b/c I'm so busy with DS and not working at a desk job this time.

  • This is baby #3 for me and she is WAY more active than either of my first two and I just take it as a sign of a healthy baby. I get jabbed and kicked all day and all night long.  I have yet to find a regular "down time" for her.  If she's half as busy on the outside as she is on the inside, DH and I are going to be very busy!

  • This little one is still very active! She's head down, but that butt and those legs are always going like crazy.

Must take after her dad...lol. I'm not really concerned!

  • Yup, LO is constantly moving! he does have slow times but I feel him pretty much all day and he gets pretty rowdy in there. I'm glad though because with DD I had some times where I was nervous because I couldn't always feel her.
  • I'm not 30+ weeks yet but this baby is always on the move and has been since the first time I felt her- my doctor even makes comments about how active she is every time I'm there. I've never had the doppler put on my belly or been to an ultrasound where she wasn't moving around, playing with her feet, kicking the crap out of me and it seems to never stop.  My sister laughed because I said, "Maybe she sleeps when I sleep".... yeah, I know it's not the case but it would be nice if that is what is going on!

  • Very!  I don't know exactly when we're supposed to feel less movement, but mine still seems to be incrasing, not decreasing.
  • im a little past 32 weeks. this kiddo never stops moving. The dog tried to snuggle with her head on my belly and the baby kept moving making the dogs head move up and down. I was reading a book the other night and thought the baby was sleeping and all of a sudden i got a round house kick that made the book fly out of my hands. im typing and can see the baby flipping around as i look at my lap top. Baby kicked the doppler the other day at the Dr office and swirled around when he was trying to take measurements.

I hope the baby isnt stressed, but some days I really think the poor kiddo is trying to escape -Probably knows I really have no idea what to do with a baby :)

  • My LO is coming any day now [crosses fingers] and hasn't ever slowed down. Even my doc commented on how crazy this little guy is. He always has to chase him around to get a good listen for his heartbeat! Doc also said, "Well, good luck with that!" haha THAAAANKS!

  • YES. This is only my first but I feel like she is VERY active, ever since I have been able to feel her move it seems she is always up to something in there.

I guess she will be a very active baby (like her mommy) Hope DH and I can keep up with her!

  • this little girl is really active.  she actually scared me a couple weekends ago, because i went to several christmas parties and may or may not have eaten for 4+ hours straight at each of them.  she didn't move for hours, and i was completely freaked out.
