I am having a C-section Jan 07 and haven't read nearly enough about bringing the new baby home to my 2.5 year old. Does anyone know of a good book for suggestions?
These are what we read to DD.... plus more we found in the library...
I'm a Big Sister by Joanna Cole
And there is a series by Rachel Fuller we have been taking out of the library called New Baby... There are 4 board books Look at me, Waiting for Baby, My New Baby, and You and Me. They basically point out how cool it is to be a big sibling and what a baby can't do that they can do!

We have I'm A Big Brother by Joanna Cole, and Waiting For Baby by Harriet Zieffert. The big brother one is all about after the baby's home, and the Waiting one is all about mom being pregnant and it ends with the baby being born. My son (also 2.5) loves that one, asks for it a lot. I've also been showing him pictures from the day he was born, so that when he sees the brand new baby and the hospital, it will all look familiar and maybe not be a total shock. Maybe that's wishful thinking, but we'll see! Good luck with your c-section!
