I'm using the Lansinoh disposable pads & I like them but I'm thinking I'll save more $$ in the long run if I buy the reusable kind. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they comfortable & easy to use?
I just used the Medela disposable ones. It was one less thing I had to worry about (making sure I washed them so I had clean ones to use every time). I honestly stopped using nursing pads altogether by 3 months and the last month I only used a pad on one breast.
If you think it's worth it to get the reusable ones, knock yourself out. It just wasn't worth it for me. Good luck!
I have used both and I prefer j&j disposable. The reusable ones would hold more liquid and ended up causing tenderness on my nipples. Plus it was hard to keep up with washing them.

I can safely say that I will need breast pads the entire time I nurse, so I decided to buy reusable ones. I bought AFFF pads - they are highly recommended. The brand is "Artsy Fartsy Foo Foo". It is a Hyena cart shop and she stocks her store on Wednesday morning and they go fast!
I wash them with the rest of my clothes in a free and clear detergent, but dry them separately because I use softener sheets and softener can effect the absorption of the cloth pads
I used the Lansinoh disposables in the beginning because I leaked a lot and they were great! Once I stopped leaking randomly I switched to reusable pads. I only sleep in them, or use one on the side that isn't being nursed from, because I'll still leak then. I have several sets so I wash them once a week and my trash can is a lot less full!!
In the beginning I leaked so much that reusables would not hold all the milk, I still leaked all over my shirt. I like the Lansinoh disposables the best. Now that I'm not leaking much at all I use my reusable Nuk pads. I wash them with baby's clothes and air dry.
I use the medela washable ones. I found the disp very itchy. Plus I sometimes wipe LO's milk dribble with it when out and nursing. Comes in handy. I just throw them in with babies laundry. HTH
