Walker Moms?

I am due April 1st and will be a first time mom. My husband and I don't have any family close by and all of our friends and co-workers with kids live out of the area. Does anyone have any recommendations for day care or pediatricians?

    Its kind of a drive but we use Forest Hills Pediatrics. Dr Kathleen Howard is our pedi. We are happy with them so far.  We are in the same boat as far as family and friends. It sucks.

    We live in down town GR but we drive the 10 mins to the rockford metro office...we LOVE Dr. Johnson...she goes out of her way to make sure that you feel confedent with what's going on with your baby... Our baby was sent home with a billyblanket...she left us a voicemail that was at least 5 mins long letting us know it was ok and what to expect...and then she said if you need anything else call. We were good so we didn't call...at 6pm (after hours) the phone rings...it's dr. johnson...she said you didn't call is everything ok? Overall we wish we had doctors like that for ourselves!
