Freezer meals bio and question

I tried searching for the freezer meals bio and could not find it. Could someone please post the link? Thanks.

Also I am thinking about making a ton of meals in late Jan bc I will be on vacation from work. I am not due til March 16th. I know it is "frozen" but will the food still taste good in march/april? I don't have much experience with freezing meals, thanks.

Re: Freezer meals bio and question

  • With my first pregnancy, I had lots of spare time and I kind of over-did it with the freezer meals (I think I ended up with 40+ meals). The best way to make sure that they stay fresh is by using a vacuum-sealer on everything- soups, cassaroles, even pastas and veggies. If you use regular plastic wrap, you run the risk of freezer burn after a few months, so the vacuum sealer is definitely worth it.

If you don't have one to use now, maybe see if you can borrow one from a friend (we borrowed our ILs' sealer). Saves on the cost a bit.

Finally, I think it's a great idea to make as many meals as you can- ours lasted for months and was so valuable, especially those first few weeks of adjusting to parenthood. Good luck!
