Lupron to trigger ovulation?

Have any of you ladies been prescribed Lupron to trigger ovulation instead of HCG trigger? My RE just prescribed it to me because my estrogen level is a little high so she wants to prevent OHSS...just hoping someoneelse has heard of this and also hoping for a positive outcome! I have 3 follies...22mm, 19mm, and 17mm. Thanks!! :)

    Hi, I'm popping in from TTTC and wanted to let you know that I haven't even started stims for my first IVF cycle yet (will be in January) but I was already told I would be given lupron instead of hcg to trigger ovulation.  Sounded very strange to me at first, given what lupron is traditionally used for, but after a long explanation from the IVF nurse I feel better about it now.  Good luck!
    Me - Hypothyroidism & Endometriosis
    DH - Low Testosterone (but normal SA)
    December 2008 - Pregnancy Loss @ 17 1/2 weeks (Trisomy 18)
    September 2009 - HSG all clear!
    April & May 2010 - 2 Failed IUI's
    August 2010 - Laparosocopy - all endo adhesions removed!
    1st IVF cycle - January 2011 - BFN
    FET#1 - April 2011 - BFN
    FET#2 - June 2011 - BFN

    I was triggered with Lupron for IVF #3.  It was much better for me.  It is out of your system much faster (in a few days as opposed to 10) and can help prevent OHSS.
