3D/4D Ultrasound!

I've been thinking about having one done. I found a place that does them and has some pretty good priced packages. I'm only 22 weeks along and want to wait for the best time to go... Has anyone else paid to have this done? Was it worth it? When is the best time to go? I was thinking sometime after 30 weeks just wasn't sure which week is best...

    Make sure you research the place and the techs have certifications and experience.  The FDA has some warnings about these places.

    My OB offers this and my husband and I are very tempted to go for it, even though it is $90.

    Anyway, I asked about it at my last appointment and to get the best results they suggested 28-30 weeks. You want to wait as long as possible but if you wait too long then they are more cramped inside which limits the images they can get for you.

    I had one at 17 weeks for gender determination & will have a second one at 31 weeks for a "fun" keepsake. I love the place that I got mine at. To "me" it was worth every dollar for the dvd keepsake of the ultrasound that we keep watching over and over again!

    I have the same questions! DH and I got money for one for Christmas, so I just need to figure out when is the best time to schedule it. Seems like 30-34 weeks is the best, but I would love to hear from people who have actually gotten them....

    I had mine done at 27  weeks...I thought it was a great time.  She wasn't big enough to be too squished.  I saw her sucking her thumb, opening her eyes and smiling.

    This, the place i called said from 24-28 weeks is really best to get the best pictures without having to look at a bunch of different quadrants to make anythig out.

    We had a 3d one at 16w to determine the gender and honestly I thought it was a little creepy. I would definatly not do one again until at least 30 weeks when LO was more "baby" looking.

    I had mine at 19 weeks :) It was exciting to see the baby in 3D but my husband was a little freaked out. He wasn't sure what the amniotic  fluid was and thought the baby had giant lumps all over her body. We might go again around 29-30 to see her again. <3

    I think we are going to go between 26-30 weeks. They do them where I go and charge $125. I am excited, I think 3d/4d look awesome.

    WERE i go is AWESOME..Mine are scheduled for 25 weeks, and 32 weeks..GREAT times to see baby...Has fat on body AWESOME..Its deffffff worth it..
