Baby responding to what you eat

How fast do you think your LO responds (if at all) to something you eat? I have no concept of how long it takes for food to go from my stomach to the baby. And I'd love to look it up on the web, but not sure how I'd do that kind of google search.

    My LO responds if I don't eat. Everytime I get sick or don't feel well it starts kicking like crazy & soon after I eat a little it calms down. So weird but it happens every time.

    I'm not really sure, but I know when I have oj in the morning, she responds within 15 minutes or so...

    I don't think it takes very long, my baby moves like crazy any time I eat something spicy.

    i think iread somewhere that it takes upwards of two hours for the actual nourishment to reach the baby, but mine responds about 15 minutes after.  and ditto what the pp said about baby moving if you're hungry.  i've noticed when i wake up in the morning after not eating all night she's dancing a jig in there, and calms down after i eat breakfast.

    Our LO responds when I don't eat right away like others mentioned. He also starts kicking a 5-10 minutes after I drink ice cold water.

    I've noticed our little girl seems to respond within 10 minutes or so of anything sugary I drink, such as apple cider or Sprite. I have only had Sprite on one occasion lately and cider a couple of times but every time she starts kicking very hard.

    When it is anything sugary he seems to respond super fast. It is pretty hilarious!
