Could use some T&P's for my family

There is apparently a black hole around my hometown this week and it's sucking everyone into it.

My Uncle (who granted is an idiot) got completely plastered the Sunday before Christmas and drove his car into a tree. He's in the hospital with a broken hip, a trashed knee (that he just had replaced), 4 (or maybe 6 - I just don't remember) broken ribs and slammed his head through the windshield. He's currently on a ventilator and doesn't have any idea what's going on around him and hasn't recognized his kids when they've come to visit. It's not looking good for him.

My Grandfather on the other side of the family (who's been having some mental issues ever since my Grandmother died a few years back) was found the day after Christmas in a truck stop a couple hours and one state over from where he lives by a trucker walking around confused. The trucker got ahold of my Aunt and she had to go get him. He's in the hospital with some heart issues and has had multiple mini strokes. It's not currently life threatening but these mini strokes may have been going on for awhile and he's definitely more addled now and this apparently puts him at an increased risk of having a major life threatening stroke in the next year.

Now today my other grandfather collapsed at home and had to be taken to the hospital where he apprently has extremly low blood pressure and has been admitted for testing. He's had a couple heart attacks in the past, some more recent health issues including being diagnosed with Parkinsons and is obviously dealing with the stress of my Uncle's accident and we're worried about him.

Honestly, I've been sitting here all day thinking to myself just how expensive a plane ticket would be for me to fly and take Ariel on my lap because I think it would be a miracle if all three of them make it through the next couple of weeks.

Sent! That is an awful lot of stuff to deal with! If you want to be there, I say buy the ticket because, while it might be expensive, the regret will hurt a lot more in the future if you don't go and you end up wishing you had.

And ditto PP regarding the ticket. I can't imagine how hard it would be to have all of that going on states away and not be able to be there. ((Hugs))
