I must be KU right? Just kidding I know one does not necessarily have anything to do with the other, but in all honesty I had it for the first time in my life last night and now it just kicked in big time at work. So it is pretty new to me and I have no idea what to take let alone what is safe med wise to take for it during the 2WW?? I am dying over here with it and I am hoping I can take something.
TIA!
Re: I have serious heartburn so...
I just ate about 50 tortilla chips in under 10 minutes, so the same theory applies, right?
When are you testing?
ETA: I only avoid Advil, everything else is fair game.Of course it applies
I am not too hopeful so I am trying to hold out until New Years Day at least, but may cave on New Years Eve. LP is usually 10-11 days and 10DPO will be NYD so I figured it wouldn't be as bad then!
What about you?
Thanks for the advice....I just took some pepcid from a coworker. Hopefully it kicks in soon!
For heartburn I would recommend Tums. It is safe during the 2ww/pregnancy and it's full of calcium!
Maybe Rolaids but I am not sure if the recall for Rolaids is over yet.
Hope you're feeling some relief soon.
I'm thinking Monday, which is when FF suggests, but I'd still want my temp to be up to POAS. DH and I discussed the merits of New Years Eve testing, but I'm a little gun shy after my CP, so I'd rather not know until a little later. I'll just take it easy on the vino and bubbly, but still imbibe.
It would be fun to find out on NYD!
GUUUURL, I so want to flame you!
You can take, Tums, Pepcid and Zantac, all three are safe in the 1st Tri.
fwiw, heartburn was an early sign for me in May. I do have a stomach of steel, so alison's logic still applies!
alison!!! SMOOCHES!
Thanks Nebrtwin. How are you stranger? Feel like I haven't seen you much on here lately.
Alison thanks, I am hoping it subsides quickly!
If I waited until FF suggests I would wait until I think the 6th?!? Just because last month I think I O'd later than FF said so therefore I had a really long LP....which isn't normal for me and I didn't take anything to make it longer. So I figured I would test at 10DPO. I totally understand your situation though and if I was you I would wait until Monday as well and make sure temps are still up.
I think NYE I will be taking it easy for the most part as well. I am going out at 11:30 because DH is bartending, so at least that way it cuts back on why aren't you drinking comments from people...lol.
I hope this is it for you though...I have everything crossed that maybe by the GTG we will all be KU!!! That would be the best...I know wishful thinking, but hey a girl can hope right?
Baboo!!!
Go ahead and flame away if you want. I have my big girl panties on.
I wasn't being serious, I just never had it before and wanted to know what to take that was safe, since I know other meds for other things that I have experienced, like tylenol instead of advil, etc. DH tried to give me his nexium last night, but I told him no because I didn't know if it was ok to take or not. I went to bed shortly after last night and was able to sleep and was fine and fine today until all of a sudden it kicked in again and I needed something to help me out...so I figured I would ask.
Honestly with some of the people on here now I could care less what they say or think. I love the three of you that responded so you are all free to flame away.
Edit: Can't spell...brain is on vacation an hour early.
How awesome would it be if none of us could drink at the GTG because we're all KU?
We're hanging out at home with our favorite neighbors, so there will be no pressure to drink excessively.
For all that I love FF, it's still just a computer program and it recently told me it's "concerned" because of fluctuations in luteal phase length. What it failed to include in that assessment was a 4 day pregnancy and also the fact I'm taking progesterone to lengthen LP. So sometimes I give FF the side eye.
AND Kathy too, where is that hag?
I have been really busy with work and it has finally started to slow down. I am keeping my appendages (yes all of them) crossed that this heartburn of yours is a good sign! GL
Where is Kathy???
Alison I hear you on FF, sometimes I wonder why we all obsess over it soooo much, but then again it gives us something to do during the 2ww to drive ourselves crazy. I would give it the side eye too if it told me something like that!!
This post is full of fantastic-ness - I love that you are all 2WWing! I am 2WWing for some good news here!
Rvnsgrl - FYI, I have been taking Nexium for a long time and my doctor's office gave me the ok to continue... and I'm all knocked up and junk. haha

I just paged Kathy on Gchat. Turns out they're making her WORK. The insanity!!
Thanks! I am trying not to get my hopes up though! Glad work has slowed down for you! Mine is just about to pick up and be insane...which means no bumping for me...boo to work!
How dare they make Kathy work!!!
Baboo love the panties thank you very much!
MT thanks for the info on the meds! Too bad we are fighting with the insurance now to even cover it....been fighting for two months now...such a pain! But good to know if we get it straightened out. I will only steal his (he has samples) if I absolutely need it. It has calmed down a bit for now...still there but not nearly as bad...thank goodness!
And yes it is nice for all of us to be 2ww waiting together!
I just want to get in on this post because everyone in it is AWESOME!
*waves hi!!*
I hope it's a good thing and you are knocked up too, Rvns! I can't wait for the gtg, and I hope everyone's having water for the same reason.
Nebrtwin, did you finally O? About time!
Hi friend!!! I loved your blog update!!! So happy for you. I don't comment because I can only access on Google Reader when on my work laptop... but I read them all!
Oh man, I dealt with insurance issues on it too. My old company's insurance wouldn't cover it at all and it was like $200 a month - tried having my doctor appeal it for me but to no avail. I ended up with a different medication that I swore didn't do much good. I was so excited when I came to my current job and I only have to pay like $50 for 3 months' worth!
I'm outta here for the day, all you wonderful ladies - I'm gonna be watchin' you!

Hi Catahoula! Thanks honey, I hope so too, but we shall wait and see.
How are you doing and feeling Catahoula?
Now I am running off to check Catahoula and MT's blogs!
Same thing for us. But the kicker is he has tried everything and wound up in the hospital last january and february because it got soooo bad. You would think the insurance company would rather pay for the meds than the hospital!
