2nd Trimester

? about pressure "down there"

So I'm 21 weeks pregnant, and this is my 3rd baby.  I'm already experiencing uncomfortable pressure in my crotch when I am on my feet for a while. Seems early to me for this to be happening......I had a doctor appt today and of course forgot to mention it to her.  Any one else have this happen so early?  Maybe it's just because it's my 3rd pregnancy and things aren't as "tight" as they used to be....

 Thanks!

Re: ? about pressure "down there"

  • I have had this feeling for about 3 weeks now on and off daily. I thought it was nothing because it goes away, but when I mentioned it to my OB she wanted to check my cervix. Everything was fine, my kid just likes to hang out *really* low. I just rest when I feel it, and make sure I drink plenty of water.

  • Your not alone! I'm 20 weeks & have been feeling it for about 3 weeks. It was really painful for awhile. I asked about it and she told me it could be from the boot I have been wearing making it worse (they have a platform heel :) . . . I do the same thing, rest, drink lots of water & put my feel up.

  • I just called MW today about this. She said it was normal but if it was painful to call. I have history of PTL so I was worried. I get a cervical check on the 10th so fingers crossed.

  • I've been getting this too off and on.  I don't remember it with dd.  Hopefully I remember to bring it up to my doc when I go in a few weeks.

  • I've been having this since week 19 or so. As this is the first time we've gotten this far in a pregnancy, I did end up calling my OB and they had me come in to check.

Everything looked great, and they told me it's just part of the fun. But I'm of the "when in doubt, always call" school of thought, so if you are worried, you should get it checked out. Best to be wrong, and have the peace of mind.
