IVF Consult

DH and I just got back from our RE's office. We are going to to do a long lupron cycle and I'll start with the lupron on January 14 or 15 after my CD 21 check. Our projected ER is February 12-14 depending on how I react. We will do a 5dt (if we have any to transfer).

I went in with tons of questions because I had done my research. It made the entire consult a lot easier since I knew a lot about the process, thanks to you ladies and this board. DH was even impressed that I knew to ask about the antibiotics during/after the transfer since I'm allergic to penicillin and sulfa drugs.

Our RE sounds optimistic about the process and she doesn't see any reason why my body would attack an embryo since my immune reaction has to deal with the protein present on his sperm.

  • Thanks ladies! The pharmacy just called about meds too, I got really excited when I saw the number on the caller ID. I almost literally hung up on MIL without explaining what was going on. They are going to check with my insurance company about coverage and call me tomorrow. When I called yesterday I was told all injectables are covered, so hopefully they call back tomorrow and say the cost is $0!
