I was curious how many women get a positive LH surge with OKP's but by charting/temping found out that you do not actually ovulate? Just wanting to see if this is a common thing or not. Thanks!
I have OPK fakeouts all the time but that is because of my PCOS. I quit using them because it stressed me out.

Repeated LH surges that are not followed by an actual O (indicated by a thermal shift on your chart) are symptomatic of PCOS - if this is something you're noticing in your cycles, you should probably bring it up with your doctor so they can look into it further.
July 20th, 2012: Never forget the day the fb douchebags tried so hard, but ultimately failed. Viva la October 2011! Yeah, I called you douchebags.

On IC's..I thought I had + OPK's and they never matched up with FF and it turns out they probably really weren't..with CBE digital's it takes the guess work out of it for me and it has always matched up with FF for me

This post was perfect timing because I was wondering the same thing. Today I received my third positive opk this month. It was extremely darker that the others I've had and showed positive after just two minutes. I've been reading about it all day and your body can gear up to O giving you a positive result and then not drop the egg.
My confusion is that I had a negative result and dip yesterday and then an increase and positive today. I would assume that means I am o'ing today but I thought you o'd on the day of the dip. I give up trying to figure it out this cycle. All I know is that after practically raping dh last night (at least he was laughing about it though) that there is no way in hell he's going to put out tonight. I'm hoping between last night and hopefully tomorrow that will be enough. We're just so tired from all the bd'ing over the past week that I doubt we can do it again tonight.

I know what you mean! My DH is not a sex everyday kind of guy which any other time I would be fine with but why can't they just suck it up and take one for the team sometimes? After AF showed up the day after Christmas and he saw how upset I was I think he started to understand. So he promised me all sorts of good sex and semen this month, lol. Fingers crossed I hope it works!
Check out my October 3rd cycle. I had a fake out and I'm hoping this is not a recurring thing for me. But, it is totally possible to have a +OPK and not ovulate.
