Snow Play Recommendations?

We were thinking about heading up to the snow tomorrow (on the way to Tahoe on either 50 or 80).  Does anyone have any suggestions of places we can go sled or just play around in the snow?

Dog-friendly is ideal, but we're flexible.

Thanks!

Re: Snow Play Recommendations?

  • There's a sno-park on 80...you just have to pay to go there. If you want to just play around without a formal park, we get off 80 like we're going to the park (stay to the right). When you come to a fork in the road, the sno-park is left...we usually go right. A little ways down there's a road that they don't clear. We park on the side of the road and just play there. (We're usually not the only ones but most people go to the park...so there might be 3 other cars there?)
Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
