One of my close friends told me to take baby aspirin, and I saw that some of you are trying that too. What exactly is it supposed to help with and when in your cycle do you take it? (My friend's doctor put her on it because of her multiple miscarriages.)

Uh yeah a couple of things. Do you always take meds cause your friend told you to? Have you experienced the same things your friend did to warrent you taking a medication?
Biggest difference between you and your friend? You weren't told by a DR to take it. SHE was.
It is used for IVF purposes and to prevent miscarriage. If your friends doctor put her on baby aspirin because of multiple miscarriages, and you have not been advised by a doctor to take it, WHY WOULD YOU? My doctor has told me I need to take Vitamin D because I am Vitamin D deficient. If my friend decided to start taking Vitamin D as well just because I was, would that make sense to you? Taking any medication with out necessity, including anything OTC is not a good idea.

My doctor told me that baby aspirin thins your blood and I have a blood disorder that may require baby aspirin, but still my doctor won't tell me to take it unless we notice something in the next few months, so definitely do not take it unless advised by your doctor.
