CD3 b/w: ? for you ladies

Just got my CD3 b/w back (delayed thanks to the blizzard we had here last weekend):

E2: 75.9

FSH:12.0

Prolactin 9.8

TSH: 2.08

So from my memory they all seem to be ok but isn't the E2 a bit on the high side?  I think 75 is the cut off for normal, but I could be wrong.

  • Yes, it's a bit high and may be suppressing your FSH. Have you had your AMH levels tested? If you have elevated FSH I would consider it (and an RE that knows what to do with the value) essential.

Not to my knowledge.  I will inquire though.

  • My E2 is always on the higher side too. Some sites say above 50 is high, some say above 80.  With it on the higher side, it may be suppressing your FSH. Your FSH is also a little above normal. I would also recommend asking for the AMH test to see what is going on.  Your numbers are actually very similar to mine and I was not a great responder to meds, but would usually get 6-7 eggs at ER. I am 39, though, so I think I have not only a quantity issue, but a quality issue as well.

Thanks for the info.  I'm just very confused because for all 6 of my IUIs I responded just fine to stims; I had 2-4 follies each time with only minimal stimming.  Maybe it'll be a different story with IVF?  It's also been about 8 months since my last IUI.  I don't remember anything being mentioned to me about high E2 in the past.  But could I suddenly have DOR that quickly?  I'm 31 (32 in 3 months) so I'm kind of shocked & scared.

If you responded to minimal stims, then I don't think you need to worry. I doubt that you would suddenly have DOR when everything looked good a few months ago.  Also, I really think age is the most important factor.  I am sure you are fine. I would still probably ask for the AMH test though just to get more information.
