Do you agree with FF?

Hi ladies,

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and I know many of you are enjoying the snow!

I'm wondering about my chart. I posted several days ago about it as well and now that I have more temps (and now I have dotted CHs), I'm still not sure about my O date. It says it was CD 30 (I know, good temp shift), but I had sticky CM and cervix was LF. I had a few days before that I thought for SURE I O'd - with tonsssss of EWCM and CP that would indicate O, etc. I know my temps were lower then, but they still seem to be trending upwards at that point. No idea. Anyway, do you agree with FF on CD 30?

ETA: I thought it was around CD25 that I O'd

If I had to guess I'd say CD 25. But there is no clear termal shift, so I'm not 100% sure. As for CD30 it's dotted because your CM and CP do not show good fertile quality. I'd keep BDing just to be safe.

I am thinking CD25. When I looked at it, I am surprised FF didn't give you CH's then.

What happens if you didn't have that low temp on CD29?

If i discard CD29, I get dotted CH for CD25

Is there any that the low temp on CD29 was caused by something and isn't right??

I generally don't condone manipulating FF, but if there was a reason I would at least mark it sleep deprived

I agree. CD 25 looks like the better time, except for that one temp. Did you wake up early? Was it especially cold that morning?

Agree with chicken little. You shouldn't manipulate your chart to show it what you want. It was hard for me to not do that last month, and in the end, after the CHs moved daily, I did O right when I thought. I say keep that temp in, and as you continue temping, it will probably move.

I wouldn't manipulate ff just so it'll give you ch's on the day you want it. Of course, if there is a valid reason for discarding, then go for it but manipulating for the sake of getting ch's doesn't do anything for you but set you up for disapointment.

I don't think there was anything that would've caused the temp drop...not that I remember anyway, and I'm usually pretty good about noting anything out of the norm...so I really don't know!

I think you should leave the temp in then. One low temp won't change things if that's really when you o'ed. But then again, i'm no expert.

Thanks ladies. No, I definitely won't change anything in my chart permanently - just wanted to see what would happen with the 1 low temp discarded. I still do think it was CD25, just without a huge temp shift. Only time will tell I suppose - unfortunately!

Then leave it. I play with me temps some times when I'm bored. to "see what could have been" and sometimes it hard not to leave those play temps. But like PP said, it just sets you up for disappointment keep BDing.

Since you don't remember anything being off that day i'd keep everything the same. I would still go by what FF says, but I might test in a couple days if it happened to be CD 25.

THis just jogged my memory -I may have had my mouth open. Could that possibly affect my temp?

Ooooh YES that could totally affect your temp. I'm a mouth breather so I temp vaginally so I don't have to do any guess work.

Ooooh I would at LEAST note that you could have mouth breathed that night.

Mine originally said I O'd on the 11th day of my cycle when I thought it was the 18th day. I just continued to put in more temps and eventually it moved the crosshairs to the 18th day. That was even before I put in the positive OPK.

As for the mouthbreathing, I tend to do the same thing as I have allergies, so I changed to temping vaginally as well.
