Would you ever....

get an autograph from a famous person if you knew that they were convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child?

I know a woman (she use to live next door to me) that got an autograph from Carlos Coy (South Park Mexican) while he is serving a 45 year prison term for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.

To be honest with you I had no idea who he was when I was first told about it.  But she workes for the prison (as do I) and while he was assigned to the unit that she worked on she got his autograph.

I would NEVER EVER, but she is not the first person I have heard of to ask for an autograph of a covicted felon (while incacerated).

Re: Would you ever....

  • No.

And I think it is very unprofessional for a prison worker to get an autograph of a prisoner.

This completely. I find that really disturbing to think it is "cool" or whatever to have a convicted sex offenders autograph.

  • First off never heard of that guy, had to look him up.  So no I wouldn't, he's obviously not that famous anyways.  Second from his convictions, that's another no no no.  Now if it were like Mel Gibson in your jail then maybe :)  I think it depends on the famous person I guess.  Michael Jackson had so much child allegation around him but would you turn down his autograph?  I don't think I would've.  But if it were like Michael Vick I think I'd pass.  (Even though I guess he's reformed now or whatever)

  • NO. I wouldn't give the baastard any reason to be happy or feel proud of himself.

  • No.

And to be honest, unless it was at a book signing, I doubt I'd ever ask for any famous person's autograph.

  • I know SPM but I didn't know anything about this arrest or history. I searched online to find out more information and while I know Wikipedia isn't the most reliable, it did have the information. And after reading it and seeing that what he was convicted and serving time for HELL NO I would not ask for an autograph. I'm sorry but molesting a child definitely trumps a one hit wonder.

It also said on the site, "While incarcerated, he has continued to record music." WTF???

I'll never understand the prison system.

This. I work in a jail and I think this is very unprofessional.

  • Yea I read that too about him still recording music.  I have no idea how hes doing it.  He is NOT allowed to.
