Trying to Get Pregnant

I have to ask... sorry :/

OK, I just started temping (today was my 3rd day)

I signed up with fertilityfriend but I'm having trouble viewing some things so I haven't had the chance to do the whole tutorial thing just yet and educate myself properly....

So I'm hoping one of you could just help me out with this real quick:

I'm a bit nervous as the first day my temp was 98.47 and then yesterday and today it was 98.41. I'm worried that the thermometer is off or what are the chances of having the exact same temp two days in a row? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm tooootally new to this whole thing. :/

Oh and yesterday I took my temp again about an hour later just to see and it was different, I think it was 98.28 so that does make sense...

TIA!!

  • I am not a temper, but from what've I've read on this board it seems to be pretty common to get the same temp often.

  • It's normal to have similar temps. The important part is that you are temping at the same time every morning, before getting out of bed, with at least 3 hours of sleep. Good luck :)

  • Yes, and its normal for your temp to rise throughout the day. That is why you are supposed to take it at the same time  every single day.

  • What the past posters said, its normal to get the same temps in a row.  Highly advise you to go through with the tutorial, it will answer the majority of your questions :)
  • If it was the exact same temp for a lot of days in a row, maybe I'd wonder if the thermometer was "stuck".  But if you look at my chart this cycle, I have a lot of very close temps, and some that repeat.  Even month to month, my temps seem to be pretty consistent much of the time.

I would think that it means they are more accurate.  If anything, it will be easier to see a clear temp shift when you O, as opposed to if you had more erratic temps jumping all over the place.

I am a temper and having a temp is normal but it has yet to happen to me 2days in a row lol. But you could also be someone who starts in the 98's and then jump to 99's when you O

  • Thanks everyone! I will definitely go through the tutorial once I get my PC fixed up.. Not sure what the deal is...

I do make sure to take it every morning at the exact same time and my DH actually helps me with it so I hardly move at all LOL :)
