3rd Trimester

Can baby move back up once she's dropped??

I had an ultrasound a week ago and the tech said she had definitely dropped and was in the perfect position to go. When I would feel for her around my belly, it felt like her butt was right around my belly button and if i gently pushed on her I could feel her butting up against my cervix. But this morning when I woke up and went to the bathroom, it was like she was right under my boobs again! I've tried gently moving her around again and can't seem to feel her against my cervix anymore and feel like now she's moved over to my right side??? I don't really know what's going on! I'm so bummed though since I am supposed to be induced in 5 days! I don't know if my OB will still let me induce or make me wait it out some more :(

  • I'm not sure of the answer to this but I feel like I have the same thing going on. Around 30-32 weeks I had a lot of pelvic pressure. When I went for an u/s at 32 weeks he head was right down there so that explains the pressure.  For the past week or so though there's been no pressure so I'm guessing he's moved back up.

  • My LO definitely moved back up and then on top of that, flipped to breech at 35 weeks!  WTH!  So at least yours is still head down.  I'm sure she'll drop again.

  • my LO was head down and quite low for weeks, then suddenly popped up to be transverse a few weeks ago... she has since gone back down and up every few days (ultrasound checked).
The doctor just told me to make sure that when I go into labour, that I ask for extra "head" checks to make sure she is staying in the head down position.

good luck with your induction and hope she stays head down for you!
