I gave myself 3 shots last night, Gonal-F (75ui), Menopur (75ui), Lupron (5ui), along with 2 new pills, Zithromycin (antibiotic) and Dexamethasone (steroid). Just seems like a lot to me, especially since the RE added the steroid in yesterday.

It's overwhelming at first! Good luck with your cycle!
I was on lupron, bravelle, and menopur. Added in doxycycline and medrol later (antibiotic & steroid) and then triggered with pregnyl.

Hi Honey- Wow! I didn't realize you were already taking stims! Wishing you lots of luck!!!!!!!
I have been on so many protocols and the meds always vary but I've always been given the antibiotic and steroid...to prevent infection(they take your eggs out with a needle after all) and the steroid is to help with implantation.

Lupron in the morning ( 10 units now, lower to 5 units once starting stimms)
Stimms = Gonal-F & Repronex ( I can mix these 2 together as to only give 1 shot) at night
HCG = Novarel
After ER:
Doxycycline
Baby Aspirin
Methylprednisol
After ET: add in Vivelle patches ( still take PIO & baby Aspirin)

my meds mimicked yours almost exactly. the only differences were the amount of gonal-f, and that i started taking my steroid *after* my ER, not with my stims.

Our clinic has you do the antibiotic for you and DH once every 4 months. So I did that when I started stimming the first cycle. This cycle I took baby aspirin, dexamethazone, lupron, menopur, gonal f, prior to ER. Then it was the baby aspirin, dexamethazone, crinone, estrace, and PIO.
Sounds like me! I had 2 rounds of antibiotics, the steroid for 5 days, 14 days of lupron, 10 days of follistim and menopur, then 2 ovidrels to trigger. Most days was just the lupron, follistim and menopur shots.
After 20 months, 5 IUIs, PCOS, Endo and IVF, our baby is here! Full IF history in blog
~Life After Infertility~
Lupron, follistim, menopur, doxycycline, HCG, and prometrium.
Good luck!!!
Our IVF miracles arrived on 7/20/11 at 37 weeks after 3 weeks of hospital bedrest!

I stimmed with Follistim(150iu) and Menopur(150iu the first 4 days, 75iu that last 8 days), Ganirelix (the last 6 days), then doxycycline (antibiotic) and hcg trigger, and now PIO and estradiol patches.
i take these (this is not in order) BCP, Lupron, Dexamethasone, Follistim, Menopur, PIO, Vivelle, Lovenox, Baby Asprin, Folgard, and whichever my trigger is i forgot. i think that is it for this cycle unless they add estrase and progesterone cream suppository.

IVF #1 C/P, FET 1,2,3 BFN IVF#2 BFP
this is my first IVF and my meds are only: BCP, Lupron, Gonal-F, HCG, and Crinone
I'm curious what the baby aspirin, steroid and antbiotics are for?
ETA, should I be concerened and ask my RE about this?
I was only told to take the baby aspirin for my FET. They did not have me take it when I was doing my IVF cycle. Also, antibiotics after retrieval used to be a part of my office's protocol, but then they decided it wasn't necessary and eliminated it. Hope that reassures you a bit.

BCP, baby aspirin, Follistim, Ganirelix, low dose HCG, HCG trigger, doxy, Crinone, PIO.
To answer PP - I think the antibiotics are to prevent infection around ER/ET and the baby aspirin is to prevent clotting.
I was on gonal-F, menopur, ganarelix, antibiotic, and dexamethasone.
I know it seems like we are science experiments..GL sweetie!
