pocket or AIO?
I've been using BG AIOs and GADs. I don't have enough at the moment though. What would you recommend? Ds has a huge rise now so I've been having trouble finding something that fits him well. FB no longer fit well nor do OS BG. The large BGs fit him well but even in those I can tell there isn't a whole lot of room to grow in the rise (though the tabs are as overlapped as possible). I'm debating whether to order the buy 5 get 1 free in large BGs or something different. They need to be hook and loop diapers so they are daycare friendly. Cost isn't a big factor at the moment.
Re: What is your all time favorite...
Blueberry, I think. Not incredibly exciting, but they are really well made, cute, and work fabulously. We have both the OS pocket snap and aplix as well as some of the sized AIO's with front snaps and aplix and love them all. A few other favorites:
Mum's Bums AIO's
FB (but they're snap only)
Baby Beehinds Magicalls (might be snap only as well but they're awesome and the minkee ones are soooo soft)
I've heard that the sized FB are the best for bigger babies, but they are snap.
Is the rise really that much bigger on the BG 4.0 to have a long life for you?
Big E (6) & Little E (2.5)
I think this is a good option. We don't have any L BG AIOs, but we have M BG AIOs as well as 3.0s and 4.0s. The Ms still fit fine and we are just switching to the largest setting on the 3.0s, but the 4.0s definitely still fit well on the medium setting, so they are definitely a longer rise than the 3.0s (I think more comparable to the AIO sizing, though I don't have any Ls to compare, so I'm not sure if they'd be the same or shorter/longer; I seem to recall people saying the L AIOs fit after their LOs outgrew the 3.0s).
My favorite pocket is Baby Kanga. But, they haven't worked well for any of my friends with boys.
My second favorite is blueberries, followed by Rocky Mountain.
Someone on the CD board took a pic comparing the sizes of some dipes that I thought you would find helpful - just wanted to make sure you saw it.
we're loving BGs and blueberry
i feel like i've heard others comment they've had to fully unsnap OS dipes for a while, but then as the kiddo grew the rise fit changed and they wound up snapping back down?
also, is there any chance his rise won't change much more as he grows at this point? just trying to throw some ideas out for you.
fwiw, our bg 3.0's are fully unsnapped and have been for a while. i got 2 4.0's that i'm just unsnapping now, but our blueberries are still snapped down unless extra stuffed as a night dipe.
