OMGosh.... My baby is "estimated" to be 8lbs, 6ozs as of Monday and I am terrified to push her out next week! And I'm asking for all meds allowable by the hospital! WOW!
My husband's cousin just had a 9 lb 9 oz baby med free last week--and she had him at home. What really scares me is her first baby was the same size as mine--so what if I am growing a 9+ pounder??

This scares the crap out of me too Iris ... and I plan on massive amounts of drugs, lol. Jack was only 7lbs 10 oz, and my OB was very concerned about him being big for my pelvic size. I iz skerred.
A girlfriend of mine had a 9+ pounder med free about 4 months ago. It was her first and he tore her up! I felt so bad for her because her recovery sucked. But the fact that she was able to push out that big baby med free is fascinating to me. (Coming from a mom who is getting ready to have a 3rd c-section!)
I am totally looking at a 9+ pounder but I have already made it clear that I want the meds. Ive spoken to a few people that birthed large babies though and most of them said their biggest baby was their easiest birth. I wonder if they were just lying to me to make me feel better?

Our first baby was 7lb 10oz and our 2nd and 3rd were 9lb 10oz and 9lb 5oz. My smallest baby was by far the worst and most difficult delivery. I pushed for an hour and tore. My 9+ pounders were born with two pushes and I had no tearing. I did have an epidural. Big babies dont always mean bad tears or a difficult delivery.

My aunt had a 10lb 2oz baby med free. I know everyone is different but the fact that we're related and she had that watermelon baby scares the crap out of me! I hope Taryn isn't THAT big!

Congrats to your friend though
My vagina just screamed.
My DH's special needs Aunt told me over Christmas "You'll have the baby on a Wednesday, she'll be 9lbs, and it's going to huuuuuuurrrrrrrrttttttt"
I hope she is wrong!
That literally made me LOUGH OUT LOUD

DS was 9lbs 12 oz, but I was a drugged up momma!
It can be done med free, but ouch is right! Kudos to her.
