Sharp pains in cervix area?

in 3rd Trimester

I'm currently 35 weeks and getting this super sharp pains in my cervix area the past week.  It only happens when I'm standing up.  Anyone else experience this??  I'm hoping its a sign that I'm dilating...but before I call my dr I just want to check to see if any of you ladies have experienced this!

    I had them with my DS starting at 35 weeks, and have had them for weeks and weeks already with this one. It's called lightening crotch- MW told me it is just the baby stretching, moving, poking. It is the kind of pain that stops you in your tracks. I don't think it has much to do with dilating, though.

    Sounds like lightning crotch.  I get it too and I haven't dilated in weeks.

    I've had it a lot the past couple weeks when standing and especially after peeing. I'm not dilated at all, though. I think it's just an effect of baby's head pushing down lower.
    DS (7 years old) from FET in 2010
    DD (5 years old) from IUI in 2012

    I have had it a few times.  Crotch lightening.  Aptly named.  Baby has moved into your lower pelvis.  Nothing to worry about, but as always talk to your doc next time you see him/her.

    lightening crotch does not mean you are dilating... you cannot feel your body dilate...
